Peter Skidmore provides planning, review, and guidance for river and watershed conservation, restoration, and mitigation.


Peter’s 20 years of professional experience include organizational leadership, conservation program development, and extensive restoration project management. Peter maintains collaborative relationships with research scientists and institutions, state and federal regulatory and funding agencies, and leading consulting and engineering firms, and has served as an expert panelist for the National Riverine Restoration Synthesis. He brings perspective from projects throughout the U.S. and internationally and has provided guidance and leadership in the restoration industry through development of guidance manuals, trainings and speaking engagements. One of Peter’s visions – to institute tax reforms to fund large-scale ecological restoration - was awarded the Grand Prize from more than 20,000 contest entries for the “Best Idea Since Sliced Bread”.
